Revised and updated July 2015
Yesterday I finished my first 6 weeks of my very first boot camp.
For those who don’t know what this boot camp is I will explain: This boot camp is an exercise class that runs over 6 weeks. You can sign up for 1, 2, 3 or 4 times a week. You follow a punch card system, so if you sign up for 2 times a week you have a total of 12 sessions you can take.
This system is great for those, like me that work shifts and are not always able to go the same day every week. When you miss a class one week you can try make it up the next week.
Before I started this boot camp, I had no idea what things like a “burpee” where. It is almost like learning a new language! I can’t say my exercise-eese is fluent, but I gradually am learning the ins and outs of the different exercise routines.
It is an intense workout that the coaches give us. Two amazing ladies are running the show. Their support and positive attitude, mixed in with a healthy dose of laughter is what makes this boot camp so special. Everyone is very supportive of each other, and it does not matter if this is your first boot camp or your tenth. What matters is that you try and give it your best, and modify when you need to so you can build up your strength.
Doing the impossible
When I see what our coaches want us to do for routines, it often looks way to hard to do, but you get right into following the rest of the class and before you know it you are doing what you thought was impossible for you to do.
It is amazing to think of the exercises I have been able to do already.
I am looking forward to the next 6 weeks…
