It is starting to look a lot like Christmas here. Snow is on the ground and temperatures have dropped dramatically. Harvest is finally done. The soya beans were the last to get off the field.
Little gnomes are popping up everywhere, and here follows one of my versions:
After looking on Pinterest for ideas, I decided I could make these cute little gnomes myself.
The bottom for the body is an oval, the body is the trapeze formed piece.
After attaching the body piece to the bottom, I stitched around the top. This is were the thread would be gathered.
To give the body stability, I added some wheat at the bottom, then filled the rest of the body with fiberfill.
Now it was time to close the body part.
Left over felt scraps became the hats.
The hatI glued the hat to the body with a hot glue gun. Then the beard shaped from fibre fill , eyes and a nose glued into place. To finish off, pearls were sewn to the tip of the hat.
And here they are, I think they are supper cute.
