Update about the jeans quilt.
In my post “Yes I patch jeans” I showed you the stack of jeans patches that I was planning to make into a quilt.
Well, I finally found some time and the quilt has progressed to the “almost” done stage. I still have to quilt the quilt.
Here is a picture after I washed it, I just couldn’t wait until the final quilting to see how it would turn out!

I used a table cloth for the backing because it was just the right size and color, I really like how it turned out.

But then I had a stash of jeans hearts that I just couldn’t throw out. Well the only option was to make these into a quilt as well:

Your quilts are adorable. I don’t think I can pick a favorite. A friend of mine made me a quilt, using this technique (I don’t know what it’s called, where the edges ruffle) and I love it!!! I didn’t know how she did it, and now I do! Great job!
Hello Melony, thank you so much. To tell the truth I was very surprised when I had washed the quilts and absolutely love the effect. I will definitely make more this way, sometime. And really it is quite easy to do, just need time to do them.
I love both of them equally! Truly beautiful.
How do you get the frayed edges around the patched heart one?
All of it is amazingly beautiful.

Hi Debbie, I made small snips all around the hearts. Denim gets all nice and fussy when washed. I love the effect of it.
