Old light stand
When I was cleaning up around the yard, I came across this ugly light stand.
It was all rusty, but I did like the base.
Last year I had made it into a solar light lamp post.
I really liked the way it had turned out, using parts from an old chandelier, it added some vintage glamour to the garden, as well as providing light when it was dark. However it was knocked over a few times when we were working on the veranda, breaking the glass dishes. It made me real sad.
The light sockets were the perfect size to hold the little solar globes.
A glob of silicone on the bottom to hold the lampshades in place. Remember to leave a space and not to silicone all around the edge of the lamp shades. This way the water can drain when it is raining. I had chosen three different kinds of shades.
These beads were chosen to add some more “Bling”.
Some of the chandelier parts found their way into the mix as well, along with acrylic “crystals”, strung on thin wire.
I love how it shines during the night but I was not able to get a good picture from it.
Well what do you think?
