Hello all!
As you may have noticed, it has been pretty quiet on my blog. No posts were published in April. And you may wonder what happened. Nothing earth shattering as life is concerned, everyone is healthy here, and I hope the same is true for all of you! No, I have been busy working behind the scene. Cleaning up some of my emails, because I was not able to keep up with them, some days I would get over a hundred emails, very time consuming trying to sift through them, even when you use email filters. So I had to unsubscribe from many, not that I did not like the newsletters, but as I said, the sheer volume was getting to be too much.

The blog site did get some updates, and I changed the focus of some of the categories around. Did you notice the differences? Then there are the social media accounts that needed some cleaning up and tweaking. Pinterest took the most time as, with over 160 boards, every one of them needed a new face, and description added, but this also got done.
And (this I find so exciting!), I have been accepted as a contributor with IStock, the photo site; as well as SmugMug, another photo site. Links are below if you want to take a look. This meant a lot of photo editing and then getting them uploaded in the sites. As well as taking more pictures, with plans for many more! Several blog posts are in the works, two of the monthly faces are almost ready, this is the first: April’s face.

Monthly Face April
Again first I started with the drawing.

Monthly Face April
Around the face I painted with watercolor, then added salt and let this dry. I love how the salt added different high lights in the paint. It almost looks like hair surrounding the face, don’t you think? Then I started painting the face it self.

I did not like how the eyes turned out, and kept working on them, erasing, re-painting and starting over again. Finally I had to leave things be as the watercolor paper was starting to get rough. So I don’t like this face much. What do you think?
