Monthly faces June
This face reminds me of Tinkerbell, the little fairy in Peter Pan. The kids loved the story of Peter Pan, and who doesn’t fall in love with this sassy little fairy! Here is the basic drawing of this months face.
Again Gelatos from Faber-Castell ( this is not an affiliate link), were used because of their rich and vibrant colors, then water was added to move around the pigments and create interest.
I dabbled around with some stencils, but not to much.
From cutting out shapes with my Cricut Explore Air 2 machine, and because I hate throwing away anything that maybe useful, I had all kinds of left over scraps. They got used to give the illusion of a border and to dress up Tinkerbell’s top.
Tinkerbell must have blue eyes,I colored them in with coloring pencil. And this time I tried not to muck around to much, like I did in April’s face of the month.
And here are the final touches to the face. I think I got carried away with shading around the eyes again, but liked the softness of the Conte chalk.
Well here you have it, do you agree with me? Leave a comment!
