Here is a fun and simple quick project.
Do you have any old lamps that are not working anymore? Or, you can get an old light from the thrift store to upcycle into a candle stick. Well I did have an old light that did not work anymore. And because I loved the wooden base, I just could not throw it out. At first I tried fixing it, but that just didn’t work.

Here you can see that I had started taking the light apart. The switch was broken and it needed a new socket. Well, I could not find anything that might work in our local hardware store.
So now what to do? The wood was really quite nice and I did not just get rid of the lamp. Well, after I removed the wire and the parts for the light, it occurred to me that this would make a great candle stick.

At first I thought about keeping the rod in the middle, but it stuck out way too far.
After that was taken out, I hot glued everything together. And here you have it. My upcycled lamp into a candle stick!

Looks pretty good among the Christmas decorations.
